Baritone Thomas Buckner and contrabassist James Ilgenfritz perform a structured duo improvisation using ten poems by Yuko Otomo from her collection Study.

The improvisational duo of Chris Cochrane on guitar and Stuart Popejoy on bass forge sounds from Frippian drones and ambient wails, where feedback and resonators give way to miniature pop mantras.

Ensemble Consensus presents "Here, There, and Here, There"
Ensemble Consensus's debut album Song Cycling, released on November 20th, 2020, develops spontaneous and communal song-writing process, featuring Ashley Muniz (video and voice), Leo Chang (VOCALNORI: amplified gongs through voice), Sam Kaseta (voice), Sasha Berger (voice), Samn Johnson (piano), Lucy Yao (piano), Oliver Hickman (electric guitar), Charlie Kozey (electric guitar), Toshi Tsuruoka (electronics), Taylor Arnold (bassoon), and Andrew Koss (saxophone).

Elliot Simpson, James Moore, & Teodora Stepančić - 'guitars, streets, resonances'
Guitarists James Moore (electric guitar) and Elliot Simpson (classical guitar) and composer Teodora Stepančić (sine tones) perform Stepančić’s piece - their album’s title track. Two guitars quietly play a melody together; one keeps repeating it, never the same... the other gradually drifts away, getting lost in resonance... sine tones gently add harmony... a door opens and the guitars are in the street... the melody is slowly forgotten.

James Moore, Elliot Simpson, & Mila Henry - works for guitar by Larry Polansky
Elliot Simpson performs Larry Polansky's 85 Chords (The Historical Tuning Problem) from the collection of pieces Songs and Toods, composed in 2006 for the just intonation National Reso-phonic guitar designed by Lou Harrison. James Moore and Mila Henry perform the world premiere of Polansky's conjugation for guitar & piano.

Martha Cargo (works by Jonah Rosenberg & Anne Goldberg-Baldwin)
Jonah Rosenberg's Arrays (for alto flute and electronics) was written in 2012 as a commission for a show in Martha Cargo's hometown. It samples her voice in evocative ways. Anne Goldberg-Baldwin's solo was written upon Verlaine's poem, "Mon rêve familier" (Martha will also read the poem).

New Haven-based vocalist Anne Rhodes presents her solo voice and electronics project, featuring noisy loops and distorted lyricism.

String Noise: Dark, Light (2017) Jessie Cox
The interplay between opposites has something beautifully fascinating to it, and is deeply rooted in our experience of existence. This piece is an exploration of this - sometimes harmonious and sometimes antagonistic - dichotomy, through the combining of extremely bright and dark colors, and through setting them in a dialogue with each other.

A Fictional Account of My Upbringing is a collaboration between Violinist/performer Andie Tanning and composer Jonah Rosenberg: a sonic play that blends biography, fact, fiction, political satire and poetry in its crafting of contrasting moments of future and past.
